John Richard Arapoff, son of Russian born artist Alexis Paul Arapoff, was born in Beverly, MA in 1935. He attended Vesper George School of Art in Boston, MA and University of California Berkley.
Resident artist/restorer at South Shore Arts Center in Cohasset, MA. Member of North River Arts Society in Marshfield, MA, Duxbury Art Association, American Institute For Conservation, New England Conservation Association, National Historical Trust, and Association For Preservation Technology.
Denver Museum of Art "Salute to American Creativity", Central City Art Gallery, Central City, Colorado. "Own Your Own", one man show at University of Colorado. In New York, was represented by Novik-List Gallery. Widely known on the South Shore having exhibited at the South Shore Arts Festical, Scituate Arts Festival, and the North River Arts Society. Has exhibited at the Boston Arts Festival. In 1975, a joint show with cartoonist Paul Szep at the Scituate Public Library.
